Last month we broke the news that Telegram will be introducing a premium subscription model for access to pro features on the app. We can now unveil key details about Telegram Premium including the price and expected features. Let’s get into the details now.

Telegram Download Now

There is still no official news on the new Telegram premium mode but there is a Telegram Beta channel that has leaked quite a few details about what to expect. We don’t know anything yet about when we can expect Telegram Premium to launch but we can tell you that it will cost $4.99 a month when it does. This is what subscribers will get for their money:

Telegram Premium subscribers will get double the power of regular users for a few things. These include being able to join up to 1,000 channels, have up to 20 chat folders, pin up to 10 chats, and more. Premium users will also have double the file transferring power too, being able to transfer files up to 4GB in size instead of 2GB.

Caps on download speeds are also being lifted and Telegram Premium users will also get access to an automatically transcribed messages feature. Then there is the most obvious of premium features, which is an ad-free experience. Ads aren’t too intrusive on Telegram anyway, but if you are going to pay a premium subscription you are going to want them gone.

Other Telegram Premium features include animated profile pictures, a Telegram Premium profile badge, access to unique reactions and premium stickers, and the ability to select a premium app icon for your home screen. Premium users will also get access to advanced features for organizing chats including auto-archiving, a default folder, and hiding new chats from non-contacts.

There is actually quite a lot coming then as a part of the Telegram Premium plan. As soon as we know when it is coming, we will let you know so stick with us to stay up to date on Telegram’s latest news when it happens.
